"Sleep Out for the Homeless"

Students and faculty members of MCN bared the cold to help make a difference the first weekend of November.
The Harmony House, a local homeless shelter, hosted their annual “Sleep Out for the Homeless” outside of the
Ontario Wal-Mart.

Several students and staff gathered pledges to sleep outside in cardboard
boxes as the homeless sometimes must do. Students and faculty
members also volunteered their time to collect money at the door.

Along with other Mansfield organizations the students and faculty of MCN
were able to help raise over $3,000 before the end of the first night.

As an organization, the MCN-SNA, was able to raise  $2,311 for the Harmony House. All donations went directly to
the Harmony House and will be used for the daily upkeep of the shelter.

Several items were donated during the
event from local businesses.  The MCN-SGA
also got involved by helping gather items to
give to the Harmony House.

The MCN-SNA would like to thank all the
students and faculty that bared the cold to
support the Harmony House!
